I found this article from the Washington City Paper interesting particularly because our Citylab project is focused on Art and Gateways to the city. it gives a poll on how much say/input should the public have on public art. Poll was conducted on October 20th-22nd 2014, It arose because " part of the city-sponsored 5x5 public art exhibition, was recently removed after neighborhood activists and D.C. Council member Marion Barry spoke out against it. Another piece in the same exhibit, planned to be installed in the ". The 5x5 is the largest temporary project to see what cultural activity can bring live to the neighborhoods.
